I am almost 16 and my mom will not get me on bc because she thinks it’s for sex (it is lmao) and I told her it is for my period. Can I get a friend to drive me to a walk in clinic and get pills for free?

That's what I had to do. And it wasn't for sex it had terribly painful periods that were extremely heavy and irregular, she knew and wouldn't help me. Yes, any Planned Parenthood can either give them for free or small amount of cash, when I went and used no insurance I paid nothing for the visit and $25 for three months. A community health clinic can help too

Pretty sure you have to go to your doctor. You could possibly tell your mom the truth, cause I don’t think she wants you falling pregnant.... but I know that could be very hard. But I, along with many people I know,have taken bc for painful periods, or to balance the dips I would take during PMS and I can say it helps with that.
