Anyone ever taken Zofran to help ease morning sickness?

Anyone ever taken Zofran to help ease morning sickness? My doctor prescribed it to me today and I just learned its primarily used for cancer patients who are getting therapy. Also, it is not approved by the FDA. 
Anyone taken this before or know someone who has while pregnant?? I’m a little nervous now, but it is working. I have to take it every 4 hours.

They typically only give it to cancer patients because of how well it works... For pregnancy they used to hand it out because it was one thing they KNEW worked for 99% of people and they expect you to pay out of pocket. Not sure where you live, but here they no longer hand it out regularly as its shown some recent results as it can lead to other issues in pregnancy. my hubby works in a pharmacy and i was in the er the first 12 weeks of my first pregnancy two years ago where i was given it, and now the first 11 weeks of this pregnancy they gave me alternative medicine before they'd offer me that one!

I took it my first pregnancy- but it was just as a lot of the studies were coming out.
I’ve had 2 other kids since and I’m pregnant now and I would never take it again. Too much risk. Unless I possibly had Hyperemisis Gravidarum would I consider it. Otherwise I tough it out or try more natural things.
