Whenever you’re comfortable 🤷🏻‍♀️ my daughter went to Walmart at 3 days old because we needed things. Just don’t let anyone get all up in her face

My pediatrician (who also happens to be my dad) says there is no reason to keep a baby cooped up inside. As soon as you’re comfortable taking them out, you can. My sister-in-law took her baby out to a restaurant at 3 days old. She just made sure to keep him covered up so strangers wouldn’t come up and touch him.

I took my son out for lunch at my favourite Vietnamese restaurant at 4-5 days old. After being in labour for 2 days and then home we needed to get out. I just kept him in his pram. 
I didn’t really think about it.

I had my son during October . He didn’t come out until it got warm and the cold air went away! By then he was like 4-6 months. But a newborn should stay in the house for 6 weeks
