Doesn’t always work as planned ...

So ... this bittersweet experience I had this morning ... I went for my 16w appointment and the super sweet doc that I have asked if we want to see baby .... of course we wanted to see baby !! Before I laid down I told her we do not want to know the gender sooooo she said ok look away while I set you up so you can’t see . All fair and square! She only showed us baby from belly up ... fingers and ears and you know heart ..... and low and behold baby turns in like a blink of an eye and there’s a big penis flashing on the screen !! The doc kind of tried to distract us and kind of cover it with her hand while pointing at the hand showing us a thumbs up and we kind of didn’t tell her we figured it out lol . I cried after I left the office not because it’s a boy .... ( I was hoping for a boy ) but because I didn’t get the experience that I wanted by not knowing . Now I know that it really was not up to the doc unless I chose to not look at any ultrasound at all . Little ones are very unpredictable in there so it was really a shock . ..... so I was happy I was getting another boy but said I couldn’t get to find out only at birth !
