Baby essentials??

FTM here. Only found out I’m preggers a couple of weeks ago but I like to be organised. Can anyone recommend a good list of baby essential clothing items? I don’t want to risk over buying. Thanks.

And DEFINITELY overbought and I didn’t even have a shower. Newborn and 3 month clothes focus on mostly footy pajamas because they’re basically going to live in them. They’re WAY more comfortable and baby will be sleeping a lot. 7-10 would probably be enough. 
You could get a couple super cute outfits (how can you not????) but I wouldn’t get too crazy, especially if you’re having a shower. People love giving you crazy cute (though sometimes impractical) clothes.  
I also LOVE rompers for my little guy. They’re perfect because they’re cool (for weather), easy to put on, but can look “dressy” without all the layers. Once you get into 6 month clothes you’ll start taking baby to more places so I started dressing him up more. 
Stay away from anything super complicated. The clothes that frustrate me he most are the one pieces that button up from the waist to the chin, but they don’t have any buttons/snaps on the legs. That makes diaper changes a huge pain because you basically have to completely undress them to get to their diaper.
