What would do if new apartment said you couldn’t take your dog?

Some backstory:

My sister just rescued a dog this week. The dog was with the brother of the original owner (not sure how he got her) and he was moving into a new apartment complex. The apartment said that he couldn’t have her and she was set to be euthanized. A foster got her, couldn’t keep her because she needs to be the only pet. They posted on Facebook and explained how she was set to be euthanized, my sister stepped up and took her immediately. At first they were just going to foster her but now she’s adopting her. In my eyes, they totally saved this dogs life. I’m so happy my sister got her but the entire situation makes me sick.

If your apartment complex told you that you couldn’t have your dog, would you give it up knowing it would probably be euthanized?

Personally, I say HELL NO! I would never move somewhere if I couldn’t take my fur babies, I don’t care what the situation was. Especially if they were going to be put down.

What do you think?

Update: I got the story wrong. The original owner had her for 4 years, he was the one who moved and gave her up. The brother was the foster who couldn’t keep her because of other animals in the home and found my sister.
