Painful sex

I'm 22 and found out I have Stage 2 endometriosis in May. I have horrible pain during sex, more so with deep penetration. The pain stopped tremendously once I had my laparoscopy but now has returned. How have you all handled this problem if you've had it? Change of positions, hormone shots, etc. Any advice would be awesome. I just feel like it's putting a strain on my relationship even though he says it doesnt.
