Baby’s Heartbeat??

I got my friends Doppler and Found a heartbeat of 130-140? Is it the baby’s? I’m almost 6 weeks 🤔

I’m a midwife, you can’t hear the baby’s heartbeat till around 12 weeks (even then it can be tough for even an experienced midwife as it’s just coming up from behind the public bone) & it won’t be the placenta either as it’s not formed yet. Please don’t use a Home Doppler. The amount of women we have coming though triage that haven’t felt movements, so have used a Home Doppler as reassurance only for them to go on & lose their babies is scary. They hear what is possibly the flow of blood through the placenta, NOT the fetal heart and then don’t go in for observations which can and does end up in the worst way. Honestly, please please don’t rely on Home dopplers.

I dont get why everyone is saying that's too early.  We had our first ultrasound around 6 weeks. We not only saw the heartbeating but heard it loud and clear! Ours was also 130 beats per min.
