irregular periods

anyone suffer from extreme irregular periods? my periods are always atleast 1-2 weeks Late but I cramp the whole time. it was late this month an I thought for sure this was it. this was baby #1 but its negative... ever since I've had emergency surgery from a bursted cyst in december they are never regular an I just don't want to become infertile one day. I feel hopeless an stuck.
