Anybody taking clomid?

Question

Is it normal for your ob doctor to send you 4 refills of clomid without seeing how you respond to the medication and once you use all your refills advice you to see fertility doctor if it doesn’t work? I just want to know if this is normal or I should be doing more test like blood work? I’m going for 3rd refills and I want to make sure I’m doing this right and I’m not missing any steps. I’m also doing bbt and using OPK.

I was checked after Every round to check my ovaries lining and bloods the first go

Um no not normal. I was checked each month to see if my follicles were growing and responding to the meds. I also got my blood drawn to see if my progesterone rose (checking ovulation). By the third month, I was going to have a shot to trigger ovulation. Clomid can be dangerous. This doctor sounds lazy. You should not be on it for more than a few months. If it doesn’t work, you need to be on something else. Ask another doctor.
