Life after ovarian cystectomy
Hey there!
Since I was 17 I had an unregulated menstruation, went to the doctor regularly since then. Firstly, I was diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome and been on the pill for years.
2 months ago, on a normal ecography, due to gastric pains, I found out I had a huge cyst on my right ovary.
I went to numerous OBs until one of them discovered I have a dermoid cyst. Until the last moment I hoped that my ovary will remain at its place, but it couldn’t be saved, so I am a one ovary girl now.
Something that before the surgery gave me a lot of insecurity and fear made me to realize how strong I am.
This things are not the end of the world and shows the big power we have within to overcome every difficulties.
PS: this is me 2 weeks and a half after the surgery
