Anyone lived in off campus student houses as a non-student?

I’m looking to move out of my parents house soon and the cheapest housing I’m finding is off campus ‘student’ apartments where the rent by room. I’m fine with that arrangement bc they usually match you with roommates who are like you (like people who have the same standards in quietness, privacy and noise.) Has anyone done this? I’m not a student, I’m graduating in December. I contacted one of these apartment complexes that markets themselves as a ‘student’ apartment complex and they said they lease to anyone who qualifies, so I don’t think that will be an issue. I’m more concerned about what they’re like and how the college students behave. 
Also if anyone has tips about moving out on their own for the first time I’d love to hear them!! I’m financially stable and have a good head on my shoulders. I’m working two jobs so money is not a huge problem. I’m only looking for cheap housing bc every other apartment complex is waaaayyy too expensive without a roommate. Plus the student apartments are closer to my job... anyway. Any kind and constructive advice is appreciated!

I lived in student appartments for years and a traditional residnece prior to that. I never had an issue that wasn't easily solved. The traditional residnece was fine, but some of the younger students drove me nuts as they loved running around and screaming in the middle of the night. My first student appartment was great. My roommate (I only had one) was really quiet and clean and while we hardly saw each other, we got along great. I did most of major cleaning but that's my personality, she was really clean to start with so it wasn't a big deal. We never had any issues. 
The second place was only for 4 months over a summer. It was with these three guys and while they weren't super clean, it wasn't bad. They were really nice and we all just kept to ourselves. I just kept all my stuff in my own cupboards and in my spot in the fridge. It worked out fine. I also had my own bathroom so that really helped. 
The last place I was in for a couple years and it worked out well. I did live with a friend and then the other girl was a stranger. Initially we had some adjustment issues when the new girl moved in. She wasn't bad, but just would do little things that bugged me (like not rinse out the sink in the kitchen and leave her stuff all over the common area and she'd use my desk which was in the common area). I just had a conversation with her and told her to quit doing what she was doing (nicely). She stopped, though she sometimes needed some reminders. The biggest issues were her using my desk occassionally and she'd feed my cat just because my cat would beg. And as far as roommates go that's not bad.
