Plan b won’t help if you have already ovulated, it only prevents ovulation.  The only emergency contraception that prevents implantation is an IUD.  But you won’t know for another few days if you actually ovulated or not.

You need 3 consecutive high temps than your last 6 temps to confirm ovulation

If temps stay up, you ovulated cd11. You definitely had sex in the right window to get pregnant, so if you don’t want to be pregnant, yes you need to do something. Barrier methods are definitely better for your body than plan b for future reference. Plan b doesn’t affect some people that much and others a lot. I wouldn’t worry about its effects on your cycle; I’d worry about whether or not you want another baby 🤷🏻‍♀️
