So my fiancé and I have been engaged for about 4 months. He has a decent paying job and I’m a student in college as well as a full time server. We have a 2 year old daughter. Money isn’t necessarily tight but we definitely budget. When we get married we know the cost is 100% on us. My parents are not around to pay and his parents might pay for something little. I definitely want a wedding. I want the dress, ceremony, reception the whole package. But I also want an awesome honeymoon. Neither of us have been out of the country and we would love to go to Ireland or Italy or something like that. At this point we’ve been talking about doing one or the other because financially we can’t do both. I definitely would love a wedding but it only lasts one day and weddings are beyond expensive. I wouldn’t mind spending the money on our honeymoon that I know we’ll remember for the rest of our lives.
