Still bleeding?

My baby girl is 7 weeks old today!
Anyone still have/having postpartum bleeding at 7 weeks?

I don’t think that’s normal. I bled for no more than 2 weeks. I got my period last week at 6 weeks postpartum. You should ask your dr though just to confirm.

I’m breastfeeding/supplementing and still bleeding at 7 weeks PP (light flow, bright red), so my doctor ordered some tests to check my thyroid. She indicated that can be thrown out of wack PP as your body returns to “normal,” even if you’ve never had a thyroid condition before. One of my three tests was marked high when I checked online, so now I have a follow-up appointment next week. I’m not sure what it all means or what the course of action will be.

I stopped bleeding at 5 weeks and had my first period at 8 weeks.

Yup. Super annoying. My uterus hasn’t been able to finish contracting due to the retained blood. That combined with the bright red color and amount, I was admitted to the hospital for a D&C.; That ended up being too risky (I have a blood condition), so they gave me meds that behave similar to a d&c.; Hopefully it works!

I was still having bleeding at 7 weeks. Even now at 9 weeks pp I’m having brown discharge. You can bleed for up to 12 weeks after having baby!

I was still bleeding at my 6 week check up on Wednesday, but they did a colposcopy so I’ve been bleeding from that too. Had no bleeding yesterday so hopefully it’s finally done 🙄
