Cycle thrown off?

Im pretty positive I had a chemical pregnancy last month. Got a very faint line but then AF arrived, but was a lot heavier and more painful than normal with a couple small clots, which isn't normal for me. I'm now five days late for AF this cycle, with negative HPTs x5 and no symptoms of either AF or pregnancy that are obvious. Could having a chemical pregnancy have thrown my cycle off? I normally never vary more than a couple days in my cycle.
