Is this actually a thing??? I’ve heard of women who live together say their periods sync? That’s just weird😭  SORRY if I sound ignorant but please tell me this is just a myth!!!

It’s not a myth. It actually happens.

It is a myth actually! It’s all based on this one study done years ago- of like 12 women. The study didn’t follow any scientific rules—the sample size was abysmally small for starters. No legitimate study since has been able to recreate the results.

I’ve had it happen multiple times with different groups of women that I either live or have regularly daily contact with. Even though it’s supposedly not backed by actual scientific evidence I’ve seen it happen to often to completely disregard it.

Very real. My mom and I used to come on the same day within and hour of each other... as soon as I moved out my cycles messed up and now they are no longer in sync. It’s very strange 🙃

I don’t really believe it but that’s because it hasn’t happened to me. I grew up with my mom and 4 sisters, we all had our periods different weeks of the month like there was not a safe day in that house for a very long time. In college I lived with a few girls and became good friends with them and never synced. I’m currently on the same cycle as my best friend but we live 2 hours from each other and it only happened in the last year when we’ve known each other for 7.
