those noise dampening ear muffs for the light sleeper
ear plugs for surrounding passengers is a nice Lil gift
sling or carrier to keep them close and comforted
a infant visual stimulation app to distract them during takeoff landing and turbulence.

We flew with him at 5 weeks and again just recently at 3 months. It was so easy, you got this! Honestly, he loved it.  I was at his beck and call for 4.5 hours; none of this getting up to take care of my own needs bullshit, lol. 
I brought the boppy pillow with me which made holding him and feeding him a lot easier. I also put him in a nighttime diaper so we didn’t have to change him as urgently. Last we used his footsy pajamas because the airplane can get cold and we wanted him covered up. Also beware of people trying to touch him. I don’t know what it is about the plane but I’ve never experienced so many people trying to reach out to touch my baby. But other than that, don’t worry!

FTM here to! I took my 6 week old on a plane from New Zealand to England 😁 everyone thought we were crazy but it was totally fine!!! Feed on take off and landing if you can if LO is sleeping dont wake them! 
Its not as bad as you think as they just eat be awake a bit an sleep you dont really have to entertain them. Cabin crew also love babies i spent alot of time talking to them. You’ll be just fine just dont over think it!

Tomorrow we fly 7.5hrs then 6.5hrs with a 2hr stop on the ground in-between. Our little one is formula fed. She’s going to our real home (as I had her back in my home country, but not where I normally live now). Lots of change and I’m praying she will be fine.

We went on a plane when my daughter was 2 months. Change right before you board the plane because the changing table in the bathroom on the plane is terrible. Feed, or make sure they are sucking on a pacifier, when you take off and when you’re landing to help with the pressure in their ears. My baby pretty much slept the entire time on the flight. When she was awake, I made sure I had a toy that she could entertain herself with. Bring a baby blanket because the plane gets cold. I also have a little baby travel pillow which made it a lot easier for her to be comfortable enough to sleep. Here’s a picture from our flight!! Good luck 👍🏼

If your little one takes a pacifier, I heard that can help for the pressure. We haven't been yet but that's what I heard from a friend. Their little guy just slept the entire flight. If your little one likes white noise, I imagine that puts some babies to sleep. Also depending on the airline, I believe most of them let families with small children and babies board first.

How long is the flight? I took my daughter on a 4 hour flight when she was 7 weeks old, I ordered her milk at the airport to pick up after security, fed her on the way up and on landing, I also put outfits with nappies in seperate zip lock bags so that I could easily change her on the plane. I kept hold of the pram until boarding too and carried her in a wrap where she stayed for most of the flight. Hope this helps x

We travelled with our 2,5mo a few days ago and it went really well! It was only a 3hour flight so basically I nursed before entering the plane since it takes a while to fill up and I didn't want a hungry crying baby during boarding.  And then again during lift off until i stopped feeling the pressure difference in my ears, and landing. I misjudged how long it would take to get to the runway so had to start/stop several times. The 2h something interval was perfect and my baby that only takes very short naps at home just slept the entire time. I also took a carrier so I didn't have to hold him in my arms when entering and leaving the plane.

Thank you all for your advice! We just got back from our trip and little guy was a trooper! The airline let me wear him on the plane and he slept through the entire flight both ways! 🙌🏽
