39 weeks and a half weeks, had my appointment yesterday and I’m only a fingertip dilated (not even a 1) and 50% effaced. My doctor checked me aggressively trying to get something going. I had quite a bit of spotting and some mucus plug come out after. Then have had period like cramps all day and just a little spotting when I wiped. I was hopeful it was the start of something. I went on a 45 minute walk, did lots of squats. Had sex. And NOTHING. I’ve never even had any type of consistent contractions or contractions that were very painful. I’ll be induced in 8 days if she doesn’t come but I’d rather her come on her own! Any advice, tips or similar stories? 😭
