Alani Rosebud 🌹

Rosebud has a huge significant meaning... it’s kind of a long story but my grandma has Kidney failure and doesn’t have much time to live... she’s living with me on hospice. Ever since I was little my grandma and grandpa were the only ones raising me....both of my parents died from suicide and instead of letting me and my sister be thrown in the system my grandparents became my guardians. Well my grandma has this beautiful garden and she use to plant all types of flowers and trees...her favorite tree was an orange tree 🍊 which that’s what Alani means In Hawaii ( from my research ). Most of all she loved rosebuds....she says there a start to a new beginning...when my parents died she looked at me and my sister and said that we were her rosebuds because we were a start to a new beginning....and when she found out I was pregnant with a girl she has been calling her

“ little rosebud” so I knew I wanted to honor my grandmother in some way...and my older sister already named her daughter Maryella Rose 🌹 and Maryella is my grandmas name and she used Rose. For an alternative me and my husband thought about Alani Rosalie but to me I saw how common Rosalie was getting and even though it’s a pretty name it didn’t feel right....then I thought of an idea, me and my husband decided on Alani Rosebud ❤️❤️ I love the name and when I told my grandpa he literally started crying.... and my sister loves it as well. I Told my grandma even though she can’t really speak/move anymore.... she managed to pull off a tiny smile... Except when I told my friend the name she said it was “ to outhere” and “ crazy “ and I should stop trying to be unique...my heart broke

I just wanna know if the name flows well and if it really is “ crazy” to name my baby this....because obviously I want the best for her...this is my first baby and maybe it’s just the raging hormones but I really want thoughts on the name to make sure my baby has a good future ❤️
