Anxiety! Is life really “too good to be true”?
I’ve been with my boyfriend for over a year now, and it has been an incredible storm of love and happiness. I truly believe we are incredibly lucky to have found each other, and we are planning the rest of our lives together. He recently got an amazing job offer in a different continent, and I’m ready to move with him. we had already discussed and agreed that this is something we will do together or not do at all. And I am ready to do that, in fact, I’m so excited for it. BUT IM SCARED. I’m scared of life going wrong, because it seems to me that that’s the way things go. You cannot always be happy and have everything you ever wanted— and thats the feeling I get with him, that we are getting everything we want. I’m having anxiety thinking of which aspect in our lives might go wrong. short term: like me not being able to go there, or going and not finding a job. Long term: what if sickness takes one of us away... thoughts like this, and I know it’s not healthy.
Do you think people can really live a life that has more happiness than sadness in it? I’m looking for any proof that things dont have to be too good to be true. That life can simply be good and happy. I’m looking for any advice on how to handle these anxious thoughts ...
