FTM. Mucus plug or what?

So I’m 38 weeks today & my dr checked to see if I’m dilated. He said I’m bout 1 1/2cm. After I get home I used bathroom & wiped & this is what was on the toilet paper. Happened 2 more times after but 2nd time has more mucus looking stuff. What is it??

It might be the beginning of your plug coming out, but in general, mucus plugs are quite substantial. You will know when you lose it.

You’ll definitely know when you lose it! I lost a few little bits of it then one day there was this extremely long bloody piece. No one warned me about how it would look so I called my mom freaking out and even sent her a picture lol she just told me to watch for contractions after that

Any change in cervix can cause a lot of discharge too! Even insignificant changes lol I would always get excited if i discharged a lot. But it didn’t ever mean much for me as far as progress goes! Good luck!
