Do you have to rock your baby to sleep? Mine will not nap unless I rock her.. and I have a toddler!

Any advice for me if you don’t rock? I’ve tried the swing, rock n play and she likes it but when she’s tired she’ll just cry until I get her & rock her

My LO goes to bed on his own but needs to nap either while bouncing in his chair, in the stroller or in my arms

I’m just starting the transition to letting him fall asleep on his own. I rock him to sleep, but make sure he wakes up slightly as I put him down. Then once he is used to falling back asleep in his crib, I’ll transition to not rocking to sleep, just rocking to drowsy and putting him down. Then just rocking until calm and putting down. I did this with my daughter too and now at the age of two she is able to be put in bed and soothe herself to sleep independently.

When I need to rock mine to sleep I wait until shes starting to droopy open an close her eyes then start to stop rocking so her last little bit before shes actually asleep her bed is not moving at all (i have a gentle motions basinet) It usually only takes a few minutes to make her settle then slowly drop off

I do occasionally and it sometimes works. She likes to be wrapped and have a pacifier.

I only rock til severely drowsy at night then let him watch his mobile to get him to sleep.
for his naps I put him in his swing or on the floor and just let him play and cry til he's asleep. the more I let him cry it out the more he's figure out how to self sooth .

Yes but it takes less than 10 minutes. I know when she’s tired so I hold her and put her binky in and she will be out in 5 to 10 minutes. If it took longer I wouldn’t do it
