Do hiccups count?

When you are monitoring fetal movements, do hiccups count as movement? 
She hasn't passed the "kick count" all day but she has hiccups.

My OB and the hospital said hiccups do not count. I’d call your doctor if you’re concerned!

How far along are you? My midwife said it’s perfectly normal to have a day here and there when the baby is going through growth spurts where they don’t move much.. but as long as you get a few movements to know they are okay.. you will also feel less and less as you get closer to the end and they run out of room
