Too early????

Question

I’m 14 days late. My boyfriend is sterile. We have sex regularly and don’t use any protection. I took a test today and it came back negative. Is it too early to take a test or should I wait a couple weeks and take another?!?

14 days LATE? So, 14 days after missed period? A positive would definitely be showing if that were the case. You're not pregnant, but you should see a doctor.

Could be any number of reasons why its a negative, as another member pointed out. Stress, changes in diet or exercise.... Talk to your doctor if you want them to confirm with a blood test. Im 9 days late right now and I know I'm not pregnant (as I'm not sexually active since Oct). It's possible that you could even have times that your cycle is just wacky and skips a month.

Could just be an irregularity. I didn’t get it at all last month, and I’m not pregnant. Almost done with this month’s, though. I just have an irregular cycle. But if your cycle is usually pretty consistent or you feel uneasy, it’s best to consult your OBGYN and have them run some tests.

Your period can be delayed due to stress or other things. I have a friend who was two months late and a virgin and then she got it and went to the doctor and was told it was fine

I actually ovulated when I was due for my period so if you maybe are ovulating now that'd explain why your period is behind. ovulation dictates your period. it's most likely an irregular cycle. possibly an annovylatory one if you are not typically "late". sterility isn't always 100% and it's a possibility you could concieve but I don't think you're pregnant now hun. xo
