Anyone exclusively using a nipple shield?

My baby is 10 days old and we have been using a nipple shield for 8 days now. She was getting so frustrated in the hospital and would refuse my nipple to the point the lactation consultant had me try the shield. She does AMAZING with it but I’m just wondering is it something you use long term?

I used one exclusively for 2 months, now we're staying to wean off of it. But incorrectly, whatever works

My daughter is 2 months and I just started to feed her without them. When she is really upset though I’ll still use one- it’s easier on both of us.

I use one and I'm currently trying to wean him off of it. He's 4months but prem. Even though they can be a faff when you're out (I just use a muslin to cover while I get him on) they are a wonderful creation as it has enabled many women to breastfeed 😊
I'm not rushing him though, apparently a lot of babies wean themselves off of it
