Husband wants to wait.

My husband wants to wait a couple of years to have a baby together. I have a 5 year old from a previous marriage who will be 6 in September. I don't know that I want to start over again in a couple of years when she's 8 or 9. Any time that I try to talk to him about it he is dead set on his decision. He has a good career and makes good money and I'll be finished with nursing school in a year and that secures a good career for myself. We don't currently own a house but live in a really nice apartment and we are working towards buying a house next year. Has anyone else dealt with this? Has anyone started over years later?
