Going into Labor?

it's currently 1:33 AM on July 19th. I have been experiencing tense back pain since July 16th, the day of my baby shower. I am 37 weeks and 1 day pregnant and lately, I have been having this sharp stabbing pain in my vagina. Around 2 days ago I got sent to L&D; triage for fetal monitoring because my baby's heart beat was declining into the 110s and stayed at a barely 119-121. The doctors say I experience Irritability although I don't know how that differentiates from contractions at all. But onto today, I was organizing my closet for my baby girl and experiencing the stabbing sensation in my cervix. I have been counting them via a stopwatch and literally am EXPERIENCING pain that makes me yelp out.

I believe I am in the first stage of labor then again I am a FTM AND I have no idea what sensations I would have. My unborn child is going nuts and now I am feeling the intensity in my back and a pulling on my right hip as though I strained it. I don't know what to do other than just wait it out until I'm crying. If anyone could give me advice, I would be forever grateful. 🤗 I called my OB and they suggested I head for the hospital. It's currently 5:34 AM and here I am being monitored and told I'm in the first stage of labor. 😐 Lmao will update.
