Do you use a car mirror to see baby while driving

I think being able to see them outweighs the risks. Just use the softest lightest one you can find, as in an accident it could become dislodged and hit your child.

I do.  I agree with a soft one just in case, and I always have a window cover in my car to help with sunlight (and my windows are tinted, which also helps).
 
I often am driving alone and live in traffic jam central (Los Angeles), so a 15-20 minute drive can turn into two hours.  If my son cries, I like to be able to check WHY.  As he got older, he liked to look in the mirror so he could either see me or himself.  🤷‍♀️. With two rear facing kids I am not sure how I am doing this (thinking to buy a second mirror up FRONT so I do not need to move my rear view mirror itself).  
 
I am not constantly checking the mirror though.

I’ve heard bad things about baby mirrors in cars. I seen a video of the sun hitting the mirror and it was burning the car seat. So I won’t try to use one. I never go anywhere alone anyways, so me or the person I’m with will check on baby.

A baby mirror saved a baby I know.. he had rsv and turned blue while in the car. The mother noticed when she glanced in the mirror and was able to quickly pull over and get help.. baby is fine now, but had she not had the mirror she may not have noticed he wasn’t breathing in time.. so yes, I have a mirror for my baby when he arrives

We always have one for our infants. I’m not sitting there staring at the mirror while I drive.

I have one in for when we have two adults in the car. When I’m driving myself it’s just not safe to take my eyes off the road. I’d be putting the kid in MORE danger doing that.

I used one for my son it definitely gave peace of mind looking in the rear view from time to time to see that he was okay . Also have never had an issue with the sun shining on the mirror!
