Food allergy concerns!

Im curious how others feel about this. I’ll preface that I am a food allergy Mom (peanut/legumes are a big issue for us). My heart breaks for this family, but was it the company’s fault? Or should a 15 year old be able to read the packaging knowing she has debilitating allergies? My daughter is only 2, and I struggle with how to teach her what she can and cannot eat as she starts school in the next few years.
