birth plan?

have y'all made up a birth plan yet? I know things happen and stuff, but what are some things you absolutely want to happen?

My doctor said this is my birth plan
Go to hospital when contractions are 5 min apart for 2-3 hours
Raise my right hand and say “epidural”
That’s it lol

My dr gave me a birth plan that looked like a checklist and I checked off things I wanted/didn’t want..
I am open minded and know anything could happen, but my goal is to use the birthing tub. I don’t want an epidural offered to me unless I ask for it first.. I checked off that I wanted to be able to walk and move through as much of my labor as possible. And listed who I want in the room. That way the nurses don’t keep coming to ask if this or that person are allowed in

Honestly, my birth plan was take it as it comes. Wasn’t sure how I’d feel, wasn’t sure how I’d react.. waiting to see what was happening in the moment and being ready to have to do whatever was necessary to make sure my baby and I were safe.

Dream birth where everything goes smoothly: 
NO epidural, or any other medication. 
I don’t want to be hooked up to an IV. 
I want to hold her right away, the vernix does not need to be cleaned off.  
I don’t want the nurses to bathe my baby. 
Delayed cord clamping. 
My hubby will cut the cord. 
Breast milk only. 
Babies first exam given in my presence.

This would be my baby#3 and realized there’s no point of making a birth plan since you never know what’s gonna happens. 😩

My birth plan is that I’d prefer to have a vaginal delivery unless my doctor decides otherwise. 
So really no birth plan, but I did fill out a sheet that states that as well as who will be in the delivery room with me (husband & mom), my choices for pain medication (epidural if I ask for it), who I want with me in the event of a c-section (just husband), my baby’s pediatrician info and my decision for baby’s hep shot. Just incase anything happens and I’m unable to voice something. That kind of stuff.
My moms the type of person to argue I wouldn’t want something just because she doesn’t (she also thinks I still like sparkly pink princess shirts at 34yo... 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ she’s sort of stuck in the 80’s & 90’s), so making it clear so there is no argument just seemed like a logical idea for me.

I listed mine as birth ‘preferences’ instead 😂 I know anything can happen but I at least want them to know answers to simple things in case I can’t talk or am being bitchy haha
