sprained wrist brace

can anyone tell me how long they left their wrist band on for a sprained wrist?

To be honest I was tired, it was 1am and completely don't remember hearing the doctor tell me how long to leave it on. The discharge summary says to wear it 24/7 and that's it. It's been a week and still pretty sore. He also didn't tell me how bad it was sprained only that the X-Ray didn't show anything. I'm willing to wear it for as long as I need to although it is a pain, I don't want to re injury it.

I feel ridiculous but like I said it was 1am and I was running on 3 hours of sleep from the night before. Also, I've tried calling my doctor and still have YET to get anyone to answer there dang phone 😠 that's military health care for ya!
