Swing fantasy, is it normal?

Been married for 8 years with my husband and having a good-normal-healthy family in life (and bed). Lately we are considering to make something different in our sex life such three some (ffm or mmf) bcos i think maybe it will be fun for me to see my partner having sex with other girl or vice versa, so we know how precious our partner are and we could thank god we found him/her lol. After a long discussion, threesome is not our choice bcos it seems not fair, so we start thinking to try swinging. My husband thinks its a good idea and we like it. But it never happened becos we always think, is it normal for us to really doing it in real life? Is it normal?

Normal is a silly concept. What is right for you is not always right for everyone else and vice-versa. This is a great example of that. This would my worst nightmare and my husband's too, but you two both want it, so how could it be wrong for you? Forget everyone's perception of normal. You guys are consenting adults and have a mutual fantasy, why not go for it?

Normal is so...individual and flexible for everyone. 
I feel the need to have control over aspects of my partner's life. Is this normal? 
If you were to ask someone off the street they'd probably flip out and say I was controlling (I am, that's the point) and potentially abusive (I'm not and take great care not to be). 
If you were to ask myself, my partner, and others in our shared community, they'd say I was completely normal and even give me tips. My partner would say I'm normal because they are my mirror—they feel the urge to give up control to someone else. My community would say I'm normal because they also do the same thing—some variant of a D/s or M/s style relationship. 
My ground rule is this: if there is consent on both sides, there is no law being broken, precautions are exercised to be safe and educated, and no one outside gets hurt, then it is normal. 
Have fun and remember that the swinging community is actually quite large—possibly larger than you think!
