Do you spank your child or put them in time out?

I would give them a warning then maybe a tap if they don’t listen. I don’t really want to spank them at a young age. I would probably spank them at a age where they should know better though.

My son is a year old and he gets popped on the leg or hand when it’s needed. He always gets a couple warnings first, but when he’s in a mood he’s in a mood and has to get popped 🤷🏽‍♀️ I hate doing it but it’s done out of love and hope that we end up raising a decent human being. If the pop doesn’t work he gets a pinch on the thigh. Each kid is different and has to be disciplined according to the style that works for them.

I dont spank. My dad would hit me and i was terrified of him. I do use time outs though, i always explain why she is on time out.

yep! 3 warnings and a timeout first, but if shes put her own safety or another at risk then she will straight up and a pop on the hand or butt

My little brother is 5 and I personally have to spank him on the hand from time to time. Not often, because I usually put him in time-out. If he refuses to go to his room or starts throwing/breaking things that's when I start spanking him. He started getting them from mom and dad when he was 3.

I don’t have a child but when I do I’m never to spank them or anything because I think that there are much better ways of punishment that actually teach kids instead of controlling them by fear.
