Losing baby weight??

I gained 35 lbs during my pregnancy. I’m now 6 weeks PP and I’ve only lost 17 lbs. I am breastfeeding. I feel like I’ve lost nothing, considering a lot of that weight lost was the baby, blood, water weight, etc.

I’m cleared to start working out, but I have no idea where to start. I don’t live in the best neighborhood so I don’t really feel safe walking my baby out and about.... what are the little things I can do to help. I know exercise and eat healthy but there has to be those smaller factors that add up when trying to lose weight. Any advice??
