Care-Uh, like Sara. But my mother’s name is Tara which is pronounced the same other than the first letter, obviously. 
As for Mara, I pronounce that differently; Mar-uh. I have a hard time accepting the sound of the name if pronounced Mare-uh.

My moms name is Cara, and she says it Care-Uh but very often is called Car-uh 
Some get it right, some don’t. Just know it’ll be a constant thing for her telling people how to say her name.
