Should parents have to pay grandparents to watch the grandkids? I've heard a lot of different answers and just curious to know the majority consensus. My mom has brought up being paid for it, but my mil doesn't ask so we usually offer her a beer and or dinner after. Most everyone who has found out my mom expects payment are shocked saying they never charge and count it as a privilege to watch their grandkids. Not going to use this to try to change her mind, I simply find someone else to watch him on the rare occasion we need it.
