Do they test for drugs at the doctors for antidepressants?

Recently my grandmother died which has put me in a bad state again. A few years ago I was diagnosed with depression, anxiety, and being bipolar. I got off the pills years ago. Anyways, I’m starting to feel what I did years ago and decided to make a doctors appointment to go back on meds. I smoked weed 2 days in a row like 3 days ago. I’m worried about them doing urine test? I don’t plan to smoke anymore. Thanks!

You won’t be drug tested, but you will be asked.  You can’t get in any trouble by telling the truth- you have 100% confidentiality with your doctor and according to HIPPA law.  It would be best to be honest as you will want to ensure that the medicine and dosage is safe for you.  
It’s not likely AT ALL that marijuana will affect how medicine works, but it will most likely affect how you feel with the meds- your doctor will know how to best approach it.  Most people smoke.

I was never drug tested at my psychiatrists office, but they did ask about drug use. I would just be honest about it unless it's something you dont want noted in your medical record. You might be able to tell them you smoked some weed and request it not be noted in your record. Hope this helps.
