Depends on where I’m going and what I’ll be needing. If I’m going shopping I’ll grab a small crossbody bag for just my keys, chapstick, phone (my phone case has card slots that holds my DL and my debt card) 
If I’m going somewhere with my kids (or somewhere for a while)  I’ll grab a regular handbag and have my toddlers stuff in there along with snacks, makeup bag etc 
It doesn’t hurt to have options!

Over the shoulder tiny purse that carries tampons, a portable phone charger, keys, and wallet. My doctor said my back problems were caused by my handbag that was the size of the one in the gif since I wore it on my shoulder and it pressed down on one side of my body so I switched

I like crossbody purses—they’re easier on your bones and muscles. I’ve used tiny ones with just a phone, cash, ID, credit card and lactaid (bc I’m lactose intolerant and love cheese.) I’ve also used a larger one where I carry all that plus my large wallet, day planner, sunglasses. On occasion I’ll skip the IPad or a book in there too. Lots of hair clips and writing utensils.

Over the shoulder/crossbody. Technically it’s a “mini”. I can put my phone, a small perfume, a small wallet, and some tampons or something in it. Maybe a tube of lipstick if I need it.
