Sex after a 2nd degree tear?

Mamas who tore during delivery and had stitches, how long did it take until you felt healed enough to have sex again?
I’m only 3 weeks postpartum, but I don’t know if I’m going to be ready to have sex by the time my 6 week appointment rolls around. My fiancé misses sex so much, and so do I. I can’t even wipe normally yet, I’m still using the squirt bottle and dabbing.

I’m also 3 weeks postpartum. The way I look at it is my health and recovery is #1!! I just had a baby come out of my vagina!!
My husband’s needs are secondary. He can wait 6 months if that’s how long it takes for me to recover and feel comfortable having sex.

I waited like 3 months after having my oldest to have sex again. I tore a little and it took time to heal and for me to stop bleeding. If you aren’t comfortable, don’t do it. He will get over it.

My doctor had me wait 3 months. And I’m so glad he did because it didn’t have any extra complications and now it feels good to have sex again and I didn’t have to go through the stinging phase and painful phase at all.

I stopped bleeding at 4 weeks and had no more pain. At my 4 week appointment my doctor told me that if I wasn’t bleeding, wasn’t in pain and actually wanted sex then my body would be ready. I ended up horny af by 5 weeks and had sex for the first time postpartum 3 days before my baby turned 6 weeks. I haven’t had any problems since, and I did have 2nd degree tears   Now my baby is 6 1/2 months old.

I had a 1st degree tear and had sex at 6 weeks but it was pretty painful and we had to stop. my husband and I stuck to pleasuring each other orally until I healed a bit more. rubbing coconut oil on my perineum helped with the scar tissue but it did take a while. I think it was about 3 or 4 months before sex was back to normal

I had an episiotomy which the Dr. told me was equivalent to a 2nd degree tear in size (and that I was on the road to a tear that size, anyway). I had sex for the first time at 11 weeks PP and it did not feel good. A few weeks after that, it was much better, but it took several more months for any position besides missionary to feel comfortable/normal.

I only had minor tearing but sex was honestly painful. I had to stop and it took time to work back into it. I 100000000% recommend getting lube before you even try. Go into it expecting to need it. I feel like the nerves of not knowing if its going to hurt or not make it hard to really be in the moment, at least it did for me. Youll know when you’re ready. Its different for everyone and when youre feeling normal down there again is when id recommend going for it.

About a year. I was cut & had stitches. IDK the details but I've dedicated my energy, thoughts, feelings toward my baby.
