It’s really happening!

I haven’t gotten a period in almost 60 days and kept getting negative urine tests and a negative blood test. I was starting to feel like I would never get pregnant, that something was wrong with me. I had an iud put in almost two years ago and got it taken out last November. I’ve had regular periods up until April. But even when I was feeling down my fiancé never gave up. He kept telling me that nothing was wrong and that soon enough we will have our little baby.

I finally scheduled an appointment with my dr to “evaluate” me last Wednesday. The medical assistant asked if I could urinate so she could test me and I thought “yeah yeah so I could see another negative.” A second after the urine was dropped she looked at it and said “ok it’s negative” and she started asking questions about family history and all of that. A minute later she said “hold on, let me check again just to be sure. Oh, it’s positive!” And let me tell you, when she said positive I got up so fast. In my head I was thinking “you better not be lying to me, I’ll whoop your ass”

I asked to bring in my fiancé since he was in the lobby. I basically ran to him trying to hold back my tears and told him to hurry the fuck up and come with me. I’m sure he knew by the look I had on my face. Once we were back inside he looked and kept saying “no way!!!” I cried, he cried, we hugged. It was beautiful. All while the medical assistant was typing away at the keyboard. 😂😂 My dr came in and tried to do a sonogram but we couldn’t see anything because it was too early. So she ordered blood tests for me and told me to make another appointment in 2 weeks so we can take another look. Got my results from the test and the dr said she was right it was way too early for us to see anything but everything else was looking right. (Uterine lining was thickening and nothing on my ovaries) she also said maybe my body has been wanting a baby since April but didn’t meet with sperm at the right time and that’s why I was period-less lol.

I’m just glad it finally happened! This will be our first baby and I’m just so excited for us. My fiancé has been talking to my belly every night since we found out and it’s the cutest thing! So to all my ladies out there thinking something is wrong, just be patient. Everything will happen when it’s supposed to happen.
