So I’m thinking maybe my newborn has super powers. Totally kidding 😂 but on a serious note:

My 13 day old son has been partially lifting and holding his head up on his own since birth. He’s gotten so strong now that when I hold his head while I burp him that he’ll life his head completely out of my grasp and just look around.

Also, the last few days I’ve been noticing if I put his feet on a flat surface (i.e. the couch cushion), my baby boy will extend his legs. And with my assistance (holding him up), he would stand on them for a second until his legs got too weak.

This is me and my fiancé’s first kid so we have no idea what’s normal. Specifically, the nurses at the hospital were shocked at what he was able to do from birth (open eyes since birth, his strength in his legs and neck, etc)

My question is: is this normal? If not, what does this mean for us?

Or does my baby boy really have super powers?!
