Safe sushi?

I'm dying for sushi. I think some of the cooked sushi is safe but I wanted to check in with the hive! Are you eating some if laying off all together?

Apparently, raw sushis in the US are pretty safe too if they come from a trustful place. Every raw fish has to be frozen before being used (if not, it’s illegal in America) which kills the bacteria.

I'm 12 weeks pregnant and I have eaten raw sushi at least 2 or 3 times.  I go to a nice place, and have no problem. Eat your sushi. you'll be fine

We go to all you can eat sushi all the time! Their North American ban on sushi is crap! In Japanese culture it’s considered healthy for women to eat.... they consider it offensive! you are meant to avoid high mercury seafood which most sushi is not.... just do your research.

I’m super paranoid about eating sushi especially anything raw, so the sushi place I go to makes an amazing fried sushi roll all the meat is cooked and everything! If your a worry wart like me maybe try something like that! I’m 14 weeks pregnant and I’ve had this fried sushi roll a couple times since finding out I’m pregnant, it just kind of gives me a piece of mind knowing everything is cooked

I love sushi and get raw rolls and cooked rolls. I usually get a smoked salmon roll, or a spicy tuna roll but not as often because of the Mercury, I also love veg rolls like avocado rolls or sweet potato rolls.

The only food I seem to be craving so far is raw tuna! The Omega-3s outweigh mercury concerns so I've had some sushi and poke bowls. (Probably about 1 serving/week.) There are so few foods I've been able to stomach with my nausea that I'm eating anything that sounds good. 🤷

I had cooked sushi freshly made a couple of times my last pregnancy. Haven’t had any this time yet but will have some cooked if I feel like it.

The American flash frozen sushi at reputable places is fine, I tend to play it safe anyways and stick with vegetarian, California or shrimp rolls as shrimp rolls are always cooked and are low in mercury. 
Bigger thing is to watch for the ones higher in mercury (tuna, snapper, etc, and stick to the low / no mercury ones.
