So me and my boyfriend have decided to ‘take a break’, we’ve been dating for only 3 months & we’re both young, I’m a sophomore & he’s a junior. Anyways, This is such a dumb question, I am aware of it... but how exactly does taking a break work? Is it just a prolonged break up? Please don’t attack me, I’m just confused. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I think that it is the situation where you still have feelings for each other and trying to figure out if you can live without each other i mean if you miss him and he misses you you get back together but if it looks like not gonna work then it ends. It might be a different thing but I understand this from “taking a break”

basically you can hook up with other people for a bit and then you guys will talk about your relationship and go from there

Talk with him about the terms of the break. For example, kissing, sex, are you guys still going to talk to each other while you figure things out?
