is It just me?!

Is it just me or do you guys think its weird for a baby/toddler to bath with her auntie? Please give me your opinions I think it's weird but would like to know what everyone else thinks

For me it’s weird if anybody except me bathed with my daughter. If I had a son I would feel strange bathing with him, but if my husband bathed with him I wouldn’t think much about it. I just think it’s weird unless you are one of the parents to the child. I mean what other people do with their children isn’t any of my business or concern, but me personally I think it would be weird if it were my child.

I bath with my 2 year old niece all the time.its not weird at all especially if you are close to them..i treat my little niece as if she were my own daughter.its that kind of relationship.its only weird if you make it weird.

It depends on the relationship they have I guess. My sister and my son are super close and I wouldn’t have found it strange at all.

The only reason I’d think it odd is if the auntie was not that close in the family

Go with your gut and what feels right to you. Personally I dont think it's weird if they are a trusted adult. I would let my sister or my husbands sister or mom/his mom bath with my baby. With my niece for one of her birthdays I made an bath with tons of lush products (a sparkling pink soft water masterpiece). She insisted I join her. She was a little older I think 4ish. I just put on a swimsuit. She actaully asked me why I was wearing clothing in the bath. I told her I really liked the swimsuit and that I was gonna be a mermaid or something like that. She was like "that's awesome, me too!". I dont think kids even notice nakedness unless you make it weird. Just use your best judgment. I know when I was a kid my mom was insistent about modesty because she was sexually abused. Her trying to keep me safe made me feel like I absolutely had to be covered from a young age. Like she wouldn't even let us at 3 years old be in just underwear around our own father. It's a fine line, too protective and kids get weird about their bodies, not enough and they can get abused.
