Do I have reason to be mad?

A couple months ago, I gave some of my nice clothes to my friend because she doesn’t have much and because I felt bad. Like name brand stuff. And today, she posted on Instagram that she’s selling clothes and it included several pieces of clothing I gave her. This irritates me because I gave nice clothes that I could’ve used and worn. If I would have known she was going to sell them, I would’ve thought twice about giving her my nice clothes. Do I have reason to be mad?

If they were supposed to be borrowed yes be mad. if you gave them, as bad as it is, she can technically do what she wants with them.

I think you have a right to be mad. She sounds like a shady friend to me. I would let it go because you did give her the clothes, but I would probably drop that friendship.

Nah, you gave them to her so that means you relinquished ownership and having any say in what she does with them.  Unless of course you made a deal with her as to what she was allowed to do with them and if she were to sell them you wanted them back instead?  If she makes money from them, it’ll still benefit her and that’s what you were looking to help with.  If you don’t like what she chose to do with your donations, then lesson learned and don’t give your stuff to her again.

Yes she gave them to her so they’re hers but at the same time she didn’t have to do anything for her and now she’s selling her clothes. I would say to her “if you’re gonna sell what I have you, can I have them back?”

Eh to me its 50/50 . Only because you did give them to her so technically she can do whatever she wants with them . If someone gave me clothes to me that clearly seems they dont want them anymore  .
If you gave them to her for her to borrow and she started selling then yeah i could see why your pissed but you gave them to hee

I'd be pissed off  - I'd tell them why you gave her them and ask for them back if you really like them. If your not thag bothered about them then let it be and don't give her clothes again 💖
