Anyone on Metformin???

Question

How is it taking metformin? I should be starting it next week or so and was wondering if anyone got pregnant on it? Did it make you sick? Loose or gain weight? I'm currently fighting lyme disease. I also have hashimotos and pcos. I need all the help and advise I can get! Ttia

I've been taking metformin for the past 4 years. . I was on 1000mg a day 500 in am 500 in pm.. and wasn't able to get prego.. my Dr upped me to 1000 am and 1000pm about 9 months ago and still nothing but my periods did start back up it had been a yr since my period at the time... so he just put me on clomid this month for first time to try since I'm having regular af now. .so my answer to u would be kind of... bc it did help get periods going but didn't get me prego....I did have stomach issues at first it gave me bad diarrhea but I figured out if u eat a good sized bowl of oatmeal every morning it helps take it away.... I have lost 30 pins since September when he upped it so I guess if your on a correct dose it does help with some issues. .. I hope I've helped a little at least... good luck :)
