I would talk to your pediatrician. Mine recommended making sure I was getting plenty of iron, since the baby will basically take whatever it needs from you via breastmilk, often times it leaves the mom depleted of iron and other vitamins.

My pediatrician, my obgyn, and my lactation consultant all recommended that I continue with prenatal vitamins throughout breastfeeding.

There is way too much iron in prenatal vitamins for the baby when breastfeeding. The high iron actually upsets babys tummy. It's best just to take a good multivitamin. ;)
