I am now a single mum!
So two days ago my partner came home after taking off for 5 days and leaving me with our 9 week old baby, we lasted 24hrs before we got into an argument again. Without hesitation he packed up all his belongings and told me he was moving back to his home town and the relationship was over. After hours and hours of messaging him asking him to come back home so we could sit down and have a mature conversation failed, I decided to contact my good friend. She drove straight to my house once I explained to her what was happening, and we had some amazing Thai food and talked. She was sad, and angry. We both were. All my friends and family love him because he is an amazing guy but they know he is abusive towards me. My friend didn't want me staying at the house by myself so we packed some bags and drove back to her place. My partner (or ex partner I guess I should say) then messaged me asking if he could come home, I ignored him. He then messaged again saying that I'm being immature by ignoring him and that I'm giving him no choice but to leave, and that he tried. What bullshit. My friend decided she would contact him to let him know that I was at her house and that I needed a break for a few days. The reply? "I'll have a lawyer contact her this week". Obviously I'm heartbroken. I'm angry, frustrated, confused. I'm beyond scared that he's going to try and take my baby away. But I'm also relieved. I've been trying so hard mend our relationship and it's been exhausting. At least now I can focus on myself and my daughter, and start creating a beautiful life for both of us. I do hope that this is enough of a shock to make him realise what he is losing and pull his shit together, but I'm not holding my breath. If he doesn't come back, so be it. I am over begging him to stay and to be part of this family, we can be a family by ourselves! Here's to being a newly single mum!
