had an emergency cerclage done at about 20 weeks. I'm 31 weeks now.

I had an emergency one done that didn’t end up holding my last pregnancy, and had a preventative one put it at 13 weeks this time (currently 21 weeks).

I find out Monday if I’m going to get one placed. Has it helped you ladies? Did you make it to term? Did they put you to sleep? Did it hurt? Sorry for all the questions. I’m scared. This is my 3rd high risk pregnancy and no one brought up a cerclage in the past. I am seeing a MFM for the first time.

I had one placed at 13 weeks and am now 37 weeks today! I’m having a c section in 2 weeks so my dr said that I won’t get it taken out until then. It didn’t hurt when I got it placed. The only thing that sucks about it is that my husband and I have not been allowed to have sex this whole time (drs orders) but I feel like it’s better safe than sorry and worth it for our baby. Can not wait to meet our son!

I have one right now. I had mine placed at 23w because i was dialated at 3cm. I'm now 28w 3d.
